The Elantra is known as a nice elegant sedan in the Hyundai lineup, but the Elantra Sport is much more than that, it is designed to appeal young spirited drivers with passion for speed and precision.
The Elantra Sport is fast with 201 HP and 195 Torque. The seven-speed dual clutch transmission, can make you feel the passion of driving when riding on fast highways.
You will feel young and furious when driving the Elantra Sport, but don’t use all the power, stay under the speed limit.
Elantra
The Elantra is produced by Hyundai, the South Korean manufacturer, since 1990. The Elantra was initially marketed as Lantra in Australia and some European markets. In Australia, this was due to the similar name of the Mitsubishi Magna Elante model.
The new 2019 Elantra has more options, more trims and a modern redesigned new look. The 2019 Elantra has a more elegant look on the outside and it has been refined inside.
2019 Elantra Sport
The 2019 Hyundai Elantra Sport is smart and stylish, enhanced with a new look, Sportier and Bold. Improved drivability and fuel efficiency make the Elantra Sport the smart choice for those who need power and great value.
The Elantra Sport includes a 201 horsepower 1.6L Turbo-GDI engine and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and a sporty interior. Advanced technology and connectivity, paddle shifters, sport front seats with leather, flat-bottom, leather-wrapped steering wheel, sports instrument cluster and multi-link independent rear suspension for better dynamic performance.
The Elantra Sport has a sportier design and it is very efficient in its fuel economy with 33 MPG on the highway.
I wouldn’t compare a BMW M3 with an Elantra Sport, but the driving sensation is similar. The Elantra Sport competes directly with other compact front-wheel-drive sport sedans.
The new 2019 Elantra design includes Hyundai’s signature cascading grille, available LED headlights and available dynamic and integrated Daytime Running Lights. Elantra’s rear features available LED taillights and a lowered license plate. The new Elantra brings together a new look, smart, modern and fresh.
Amazing Fuel Economy 29 MPG Average
2019 Hyundai Elantra Improves Fuel Economy, it consumes 26 MPG on the city, 33 on the highway, for a 29 MPG average. This is great efficiency for this sports sedan.

Elantra Trims
I am test driving the top of the line of the Elantra Family, the Elantra Sport.
In general, the Elantra is available in the United States in the following trims. The SE is the base model.
- SE
- SEL
- Value Edition
- Eco
- Limited
- Sport
Pricing
The Elantra has great value pricing. Hyundai’s marketing strategy is very aggressive in terms of pricing. Offering the Elantra at a low price of $17,700 on the SE base model, this price is one of the lowest for sedans in the US market. Then the top of the line that I am test driving, the Elantra Sport costs only $22,300, still a very low price even on this higher-end trim.
In terms of pricing, it is very hard to find another car manufacturer who can offer such beautiful cars like the Elantra line-up with so many features standard, for such low price.
