Introduction
The 2019 version is the year of birth of the all-new model ES 300h. The new version is the 7th generation of the luxury ES 300. The bestselling sedan has been reborn. Even if the Lexus ES has been produced during 7th generations now, the hybrid model came out on the previous 6th generation with the 2017 model. Now 2 years later the hybrid ES 300h is real piece of art with advanced hybrid performance and the most beautiful design.
Completely new and re-designed, the 7th generation ES 350 has a longer, wider stance and a sleek, coupe-like silhouette inherited from the flagship LS model. Advanced new technology and a more powerful engine make this car the most advanced ES ever made.
Lexus launched the new sedan ES 2019 in the Los Angeles auto show and also in the Beijing auto show.
“The seventh-generation ES creates an entirely new feeling of amazing through craftsmanship and innovation in every detail,” said Cooper Ericksen, Lexus vice president of marketing.
The Japanese automaker keeps enhancing the ES model, one of the favorite first two models that launched the brand Lexus almost 30 years ago, together with the LS flagship sedan.
The ES 300h model uses a fourth-generation hybrid propulsion system that combines a 2.5-liter engine in line with an electric motor that draws power from a nickel-metal hydride battery.
The combined package will generate 215 hp, and an estimate of 44 mpg in the combined cycle of the EPA, making the ES 300h the most fuel-efficient luxury vehicle without a plug.
A new, fourth-generation Hybrid Drive System is used on the ES 300h to help eliminate the rubber band feeling associated with some hybrid systems, also delivering stronger performance and the best fuel economy.
The new ES is Graceful, elegant, stylish, modern, and original. Lexus has always been known for making outstanding vehicles, different from everything else you can see on the market.
The Lexus ES 2019 is produced at the Toyota plant in Kentucky, where the Toyota Avalon is also built. The new ES is available for sale at Lexus dealerships since 2018.

In the inside the new ES is more luxurious, equipped with an optional 12.3 inch navigation screen. It features a variety of high-tech systems, including the latest version of the brand’s driver assistance technology, Safety Sense + 2.0. That now includes Trace Control, which helps keep a vehicle in its lane. And the latest version of Pre-Collision is now updated to detect cyclists during the day.
Apple CarPlay is standard on the seventh generation ES, and drivers can also access both Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Alexa voice assistants. Alexa can even connect to the vehicle from home or office devices. There is a new WiFi system on board.
One of the great developments for the new generation Lexus sedan is the debut of a first F-Sport version. It features a number of cosmetic enhancements, including a more sophisticated version of the spindle grid, and an intriguing way to process aluminum exterior accents using a Japanese method of sword making, known as Hidori.
The new ES 300h includes several new features to improve overall driving satisfaction and engagement. Engaging the Sport drive mode further enhances acceleration by boosting torque at lower speeds while paddle shifters can be used to move through six simulated gears for more precise control.
Auto Glide Control (AGC)
This new system has been added to the ES 300h to improve efficiency when the ES is using Eco drive mode. Thanks to AGC the ES will use a “coast” mode when the driver releases the accelerator to allow the ES to slow down at a predictable rate, reducing inefficiencies from repeated accelerator and brake application.
Conclusion
The new 2019 Lexus ES 300h is a premium hybrid car, with luxury as it best and the backup of the brand Lexus. The 2019 is the best model of the 7th generation ES, providing drivers the results of several years of evolution to finally create this piece of art.
In terms of pricing Lexus does magic again, providing a premium luxury car a low price just around $40K. My initial presumption was that the new ES will cost above 50,000, but Lexus does it again, providing an amazing car at an affordable price.
Fuel efficiency at 44 MPG makes this hybrid a revolutionary model on hybrid technologies. As usual with all Lexus cars, the new ES 300h features a beautiful design, advanced safety features, wi-fi and connectivity features, functional and user-friendly.
