The Jetta is a very capable, fun, versatile and economical car having great fuel economy for a non-hybrid non-electric car. This compact sedan is the creation of prestigious Volkswagen German engineering and even if is not considered a very luxury car, it is a masterpiece in terms of automotive balance and architecture.
Jetta owners are not afraid to push the pedals when drive long distances, gas consumption is never a problem when you ride this Volkswagen. The Jetta’s fuel Tank is only 13.2 gal, but those 13 gallons can last you about 528 highway miles, isn’t that amazing? sounds like science fiction to have such a great range of fuel efficiency.
2019 Jetta
The new 2019 Jetta is build based on the award-winning MQB architecture, The new MQB platform features unitary construction with two solid-mounted subframes and bolt-on front fenders. The Jetta has new coupe-like exterior with a modern design combined with an interior that feels more premium than previous Jetta models.
The new Jetta 2019 has a more elegant and cleaner. This new Jetta is also slightly larger than the previous 2018 model. The 2019 Jetta provides a good mix of style, performance, and value that car shoppers can enjoy. With a 1.4L Inline 4-cylinder engine, the Jetta has a reasonable power for a sedan, pumping out 147 horsepower.
The new Jetta gives you more for your money, USB connection with external media control, 4 total speakers, heated mirrors, hands-free entry, 7 exterior color options and 2 interior color options. On my wishlist I would like an additional USB connector.
2019 Volkswagen Jetta Fuel Economy and 528 Highway Miles Driving Range
The 2019 Jetta not only looks great, but its amazing german technology helps you keep the tank full, even after driving hundreds of miles. The fuel tank can hold 13.2 gallons of fuel with combined fuel consumption of 34 miles per gallon. City MPG is 30 and 40 MPG for highways.
The 2019 VW Jetta has a range of 396 city miles and 528 highway miles, one of the best ranges you can find on regular gasoline cars.

2019 Volkswagen Jetta R-Line
I am driving the Jetta R-Line and it feels and look as if has been designed to impress. The style of this R-Line Jetta can turn heads and make you look like the cool kid on the block, without spending a fortune to buy it.
The sporty look of the R-line starts with the cool front grille, a stylish rear bumper, and foglights. The interior looks premium with a two-tone leatherette seating surface. Finally to enhance the cool look this Jetta includes 17″ R-Line alloy wheels and black exterior mirrors.
The eight-speed automatic transmission has three main driving modes, Eco, Normal and Sport and a fourth mode with a customizable configuration.
Trims
- S
- SE
- R-Line
- SEL
- SEL Premium
In addition to the above Jetta trims, there is also available the 2019 Jetta GLI model.
For those audio-aficionados, 2019 is the first year that Volkswagen includes beats audio in one of their cars. In order to get this beats audio system you must buy the Jetta SEL or SEL premium.
Pricing
- 2019 Volkswagen Jetta R-Line $23,245 MSRP
The S base model trim starts at only $18,745 MSRP and the price goes all the way to $27,695 MSRP for the SEL premium top of the Jetta lineup. The R-Line that I am test driving has a nice middle average price in the lineup, priced at $23,245.
According to Volkswagen the new 2019 Jetta is bigger, bolder, and features more advanced technology than the previous Jetta model, at a lower price. That is aggressive marketing, give more value and charge less, probably the only way to succeed in the very competitive sedan market in the United States.

The Jetta is a German automobile, but is now competing with Asian and American car brands. The new Jetta enters to compete in a similar segment with the Chevy or a Camry, which opens a new market opportunity to sell more units to the American consumer.
Volkswagen People First Warranty
The Jetta comes with a new bumper to bumper, 6-year long or up to 72,000 miles, generous warranty. It is fully transferable to new owners. Buying a Jetta with a 6-year warranty can give any buyer additional confidence on the brand and it is a great incentive for those deciding between a Jetta and another sedan.
The fact that the warranty is transferable to new owners gives more re-sell value and equity to your Jetta in case you want to sell it in the future, as new buyers of your used Jetta could continue enjoying this long and great warranty.
Most competitor cars warranties are not transferrable to second owners or at least not transferable after a certain period of use.
The People First Warranty gives you 6 Yrs/72,000 Miles Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty, and it is transferable.
