The all new 2019 Jetta SEL and SEL Premium comes super powered by a 400-watt BeatsAudio® system
Continuing my never ending travel to discover new cars, this time I fly to the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta Media Drive in the compact downtown of Durham, North Carolina. I am test driving Volkswagen newest Jetta, the 2019 Jetta, made especially for the United States. As I talk to Volkswagen’s PR and marketing personnel and drive this new baby, I am full of positive feedback and excitement about how the new Jetta has much more value and more features to appeal to car buyers. I am excited to see how car manufacturers enhance their existing models, like the Jetta, and offer more to consumers.
One of the features that got my attention is the new Beats Audio system available on certain models of the new Jetta. This is the first time that Volkswagen uses beats audio in one of their cars.
As I push the accelerator of the Jetta I also turn up the volume of their new Beats Audio, and It sounds great! very high quality audio definition in all frequencies, bass mid and trebles. You can enjoy your ride while listening great quality music or audio and driving your new Jetta. Besides Volkswagen the only other brands that I know are using Beats audio are Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge and Fiat, all part of the same group.
The new 2019 Jetta is available on 5 different trims with a price range from $18,545 for the S model up to $26,945 for the top of the line model SEL premium. According to Volkswagen the new 2019 Jetta is bigger, bolder, and features more advanced technology than the 2018 model, at a lower price. That is what I call aggressive marketing..give more and charge less…probably the only way to succeed in the very competitive sedan market in the United States.
The new 2018 Jetta is build based on the award-winning MQB architecture, The new MQB platform features unitary construction with two solid-mounted subframes and bolt-on front fenders. A new coupe-like exterior sleek design combined with an interior that feels more premium than previous Jetta.
Available Trims for the 2019 Jetta:
- S
- SE

SEL and SEL Premium trims include a Volkswagen Digital Cockpit display standard, a 10.25-inch modern high-tech reconfigurable instrument-panel screen instead of conventional instrumentation. This advanced display can show key vehicle data in five driver-selectable modes. These 2 trims also offer the new BeatsAudio® system, a 12-channel, 400-watt amplifier, digital signal processing and nine speakers, including a subwoofer.
Beats provides Studio Heritage audio quality to Volkswagen.
This is the first time that Volkswagen includes beats in one of their cars. In order to get the beats audio you must buy the SEL or SEL premium, the starting price for the SEL is $24,415 and for the SEL Premium is $26,945.

About Beats Audio
Beats Audio is owned by Beats Electronics, a subsidiary of Apple Inc. Beats technology is inspired by studio producers Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine. Their goal was to produce great audio equipment that could reproduce music with the same great quality as it was recorded. Beats started to produce studio headphones and later expanded to additional audio systems. For those who love great quality audio being able to listen to their music in their own built on Jetta beats studio can be reason enough to fall in love with the 2019 Jetta.
Besides Beats Audio, there are several other features that make the Jetta very appealing, like the standard rear view camera, the new low price. There are many “first time” features included, like the new 8 speed automatic transmission or 6 speed manual. Even if you have automatic transmission you still can manually change the speeds, giving you more drive control. For the first time a Jetta has a sport version (R-line) with cool sporty features like R-Line with Two-tone leatherette seating surfaces, 17″ alloy wheels, foglight and more. For the first time the Jetta is using Volkswagen’s award-winning MQB modular chassis.
The People FirstWarranty – 6 Yrs/72,000 Miles Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty – Transferable
Just in case more features and lower price is not enough to persuade buyers to purchase the Jetta, now Volkswagen is offering a great People First Warranty, bumper to bumper, 6-year long or up to 72,000 miles, fully transferable to new owners. Buying a Jetta with a 6 year warranty can give any buyer additional confidence on the brand and it is a great incentive for those deciding between a Jetta and another car. Also the fact that the warranty is transferable to new owners can give more value and equity to your Jetta in case you want to sell it in the future, as new buyers of your used Jetta could continue enjoying this long and great warranty. Most competitor cars warranties are not transferrable to second owners or at least not transferable after certain period of use.
